Ratelists: Overriding tag rates

Change the price or wage of a tag for one job, one position or one staff member, without changing the tag itself.

Tags can have their own rates, for example a bonus for working with a forklift. Sometimes one job needs a different amount. You can override the tag rates in the job builder or when you close the shift.

In the job builder (for a position)

  1. Open the job in the job builder.
  2. In the tags section of the position, find the tag. Next to it you see Expected price and Expected wage.
  3. Click Override price or Override wage.
  4. The Override ratelist dialog opens. Change the amounts. You can only change the amounts, not the rules.
  5. Click Save, then save the job.

The override applies to all staff on the position, also to staff you add later. If you override the tag in the common section for all selected positions, it applies to each of them.

The overridden tag is shown in blue. Hover over it to see Overridden pricelist or Overridden wagelist.

Example:

  • The tag "Forklift" pays €2 per hour.
  • For one festival job, the client agreed to €3 per hour for forklift work.
  • On that position, click Override wage, change €2 to €3 and save.
  • Only this position pays €3. Other jobs with the "Forklift" tag still pay €2.

When closing a shift (for one staff member)

  1. Open the shift closing.
  2. In the staff member's row, click the amount in the tag's price or wage column.
  3. The Override rates window opens. Change the amounts. Changed amounts are marked with an asterisk.
  4. Click Confirm.

The override applies to this staff member only. The amount is shown in blue.

To go back to the rates of the position, open the window again, click Revert changes and then Confirm.

Good to know

  • Price and wage are overridden separately.
  • The tag itself does not change. Other jobs keep using the tag's own rates.
  • The override stays when you change the times or close the shift. The amounts still follow the worked time.
  • If the tag rates change later, jobs that already use the tag keep the rates they had when the tag was added.
  • Override price or Override wage is not available if the tag has no pricelist or no wagelist.
  • You cannot change tags on a closed position. Reopen the shift first.
  • There is no reset button in the job builder. To go back to the tag's own rates, remove the tag and add it again, then save the job.

If you change the tags of a position in the job builder, for example add a tag or change a tag override, the overrides you made for single staff members in shift closing are replaced by the position's rates. Make changes in the job builder first and override single staff members last.
