Ratelists: No unit

Use "No unit" to create a group of rules without adding any amount.

How it works

A rule with No unit checks the condition, but it does not calculate any price or wage. It works like a header for the rules nested under it.

  • If the condition is met, the system checks the nested rules.
  • If the condition is not met, the whole group is skipped.

When to use it

Use it to keep your ratelist clean and easy to read. Instead of repeating the same condition in many rules, put it once in a "No unit" rule and nest the rules under it.

Example

Drivers get different rates by rating. These rates apply to drivers only.

  • Rule “Drivers”: Profession = Driver → No unit
    • Nested rule: Rating greater than 80 → €23 per hour, Worked hours
    • Else rule: Always apply → €21 per hour, Worked hours

Result: The “Drivers” rule itself adds nothing. It only makes sure that the rules below are used for drivers and nobody else. A driver with a rating above 80 gets €23 per hour, other drivers get €21 per hour.

Give the group rule a name (for example "Drivers") so you can find it easily in a long ratelist.
