Ratelists: Flat rate unit

Pay or charge a fixed amount once per shift which is not calculated from the number of hours.

How it works

When the condition is met, the system adds the fixed amount once for the attendance. The amount is not multiplied by hours: an 8-hour shift and a 2-hour shift get the same amount.

If you want different amounts for different shift lengths, use a condition such as Attendance length.

Use it for:

  • Day rates: Rigger day rate €200 per shift.
  • Rates by blocks of hours: for example €80 up to 4 hours, €150 up to 8 hours, €200 for longer shifts.
  • Fixed bonuses: Staff leader bonus €15 per shift, on top of the hourly rate.
  • Fixed fees: Booking fee €30 per attendance.

Example

Staff leaders get a €15 bonus per shift on top of their hourly rate.

  • Rule: Profession is any of Stagehand, Rigger → €20 per hour, Worked hours.
  • Nested rule: Role is Staff leader → €15, Flat rate. Component "Lead bonus".

Result: A staff leader working 8 hours gets €160 + €15 = €175.

Flat amounts by shift length

Example:

  • Rule: Attendance length less than or equal to 4 → €80, Flat rate.
  • Else rule: Attendance length less than or equal to 8 → €150, Flat rate.
  • Else rule: Always apply → €200, Flat rate.

Result: A rigger who works 6 hours gets €150. A rigger who works 10 hours gets €200. Unpaid breaks are not counted in the attendance length.

Flat rate and standbys

A flat rate is paid even if the staff member has no worked time, for example a standby who was not needed. Hourly rules pay nothing in that case.

If you do not want to pay standbys a flat amount, add a condition such as Role is not Standby.

If the staff member is marked as absent, nothing is calculated, not even a flat rate.
